Program Description:
London College of Fashion
lLCF
London is the capital city of England and of the United Kingdom. An important settlement for nearly two millennia, London is an international leader in business and finance, politics, education, entertainment, fashion and culture, all of which contribute to its status as one of the world's major global cities. Founded in 1906, The London College of Fashion (LCF) has a long tradition of providing specialized education for the fashion design, fashion skills, and product development. LCF is part of the University of the Arts London which is Europe’s largest university dedicated to art, design, communication, fashion and the performing arts.

Program Details
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0
  • SU required course load: 12-16 credits for undergraduate students
  • No language prerequisite
  • Fashion Majors only

Fall Semester: late August to early December
Spring Semester: early January to early April


Academics
You choose your courses from a list specified by LCF in your field of study.  A listing of the courses offered can be found on the LCF website or on the approved courses list below. A typical course load is a minimum of 12 credits with a maximum of 16 credits. Grades from LCF will be posted to your academic record and factored into your overall GPA at SU.

For a list of courses pre-approved for SU credit, please click on the "Courses Offered" link at the top of this page. There is no guarantee courses on the list will be offered during your semester abroad, so please refer to the World Partner website for the most up-to-date course offerings. If you want to take a course that is not already approved, SU Abroad will assist in obtaining approval from the appropriate SU academic department.


Housing
Housing will be acquired by the London College of Fashion. Students will apply to The Costume Store apartmentsThe housing accommodation application can be completed online and can be found at the LCF Study Abroad website. You are billed directly for housing through your Syracuse University myslice account. Information on accommodations.


Visa
For U.S. citizens, you will not require a visa. A student visitors visa letter will be processed by the London College of Fashion. International students may require a visa.

Program Costs
You will pay Syracuse University tuition and can apply all Syracuse University financial aid except work study. Besides tuition, you will also be charged program fee which covers pre-departure meetings, International Travel insurance and services not covered by tuition and for which a separate fee is not charged.
