Sciences Po
Sciences Po Paris BridgeSciences Po offers advanced undergraduate and graduate students a broad-based education conveying multidisciplinary knowledge in the social sciences within an international context, encouraging students’ sense of initiative and responsibility. It is located in one of Paris's most famous districts, Saint Germain des Prés, which has been host to the literary and artistic life of Paris since the 17th century. With the National Assembly and the Ministerial district close by, Sciences Po is on the doorstep of France's political decision-making hub.

Program Details
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0
  • SU required course load: 12-19 credits for undergraduate students
  • Pre-requisites for undergraduates: open only to students in the social sciences with 400-level French proficiency or previous study abroad experience in France. Please note: This program has been suspended for undergraduates for the 2021-22 Academic Year. 
  • Pre-requisites for graduate students: open only to international relations or public administration students. French required for some courses.

Fall Semester: late August to late December
Spring Semester: mid-January to late May

Students take a full semester of courses alongside other international and French students. Graduate international relations students spend a semester at Sciences Po’s Paris campus and enroll in courses through the Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA), European Affairs, and Affaires Publique (only in French). Undergraduate courses in the social sciences are available. You have the possibility of studying entirely in English, French, or in both languages. Proof of French language proficiency must be provided for courses taught in French.

For a list of courses pre-approved for SU credit, please click on the "Courses Offered" link at the top of this page. There is no guarantee courses on the list will be offered during your semester abroad, so please refer to the World Partner website for the most up-to-date course offerings. If you want to take a course that is not already approved, Syracuse Abroad will assist in obtaining approval from the appropriate SU academic department.

Program Cost
You will pay SU tuition and can apply all SU financial aid except work-study.
